Information we collect and why we collect it
We collect information about you when you fill in one of our contact or inquiry forms, and during the checkout process of our online shop.
When you visit our online shop, we track:
– Products you have viewed: we use this to show you products you’ve recently viewed.
– IP address and browser type: we use this to better understand and serve our customers.
– Shipping address: we ask you this on our checkout page so that we can estimate shipping costs before you place an order.
When you purchase from us, we ask you to provide information including your first and last name, email address, physical address, company name, credit card or other payment information, and your phone number.
We use this information to:

– Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints.
– Process payments and prevent fraud.

We do not sell your information to 3rd parties, and your information is only used for marketing purposes with the Katsubo Brand.
Our Contact Form collects your name, email address, phone number and other pertinent information to successfully complete your order or information request. We use the submitted information only to provide customer service and to respond to requests. When you submit these forms you are giving active consent for us to retain this data so that we can contact you about your request and allowing us to use this information for future marketing of our products under the Katsubo Brand.
Our website uses Google Analytics to collect information about the use of our website. We use this information to analyze traffic and improve how we deliver our products and services. We do not share with Google Analytics the contents of messages sent through any contact forms on our website.
Google Analytics collects only your computer’s IP address assigned to you on the date you visit our website, and no other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected using Google Analytics with Personal Data, and we anonymize all IP addresses sent to Google Analytics.
Although Google Analytics stores a permanent cookie in your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit our website, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google also uses specific identifiers to help collect information about the use of our website.
We do not send order data to Google Analytics.
Embedded content from other websites
Some pages on this site may include embedded content such as You Tube Videos or images from Facebook or Instagram. Embedded content from these sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor had visited that website.
Who on our team has access
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us with. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:
– Order information such as what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent
– Customer information like your name, email address, billing information (we do not collect or store credit card data — see the section on Payments), and shipping information.
Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds, and support you.

We accept payments through Toast software. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Toast, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers and rely on Toast software to manage payment processing.
How long we retain your data
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address, and billing and shipping address. We retain contact form entries for two years, which may include your name, company name, email address, and phone number, and we retain analytics records for 26 months.
How you can access your personal information
You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
